Loss Series

We all live with loss. We experience it personally and socially. The death of the family dog, Shadow, pushed the first abstract image into clay and metal. Other images and experiences of loss then flooded into poetry and form: my grandparents (as rose & pocket watch), my mother (as Swallowtail), my father (as vulture), my glasses, our wildlands, my keys, and our flag as experienced by the 99%. And a final sculpture of us all in reflection.
